Why Diverse Tech Founders?
Less than 1% of tech startup capital...you know the refrain, confirmed study after study. Geek out with the investors & founders bucking this trend.

Season One
Theme:
Seed Stage Companies (Who Preserved)
Locations:
New York City, London and Atlanta

We launched Season One over Zoom, meeting early-stage founders (often pre-product) including resource episodes like Angel Investing School and Silicon Valley Extension for those of you looking to strengthen your technical foundations.

Season Two
Theme:
Ecosystem Meetups (Discovering Startup Hubs)
Locations:
San Francisco (CA), New York City (NY), Miami (FL), Houston (TX), Detroit (MI), Kansas City (KS), Huntsville (AL), Memphis (TN) and Little Rock (AR)

After considerable feedback, you encouraged more in-person meetups, where we discovered countless emerging startup hubs. We also returned to Harlem (where it all began), as these episodes enjoy a comforting sound to elevate our deep dives.

What Do We Talk About?
  • What do you look for in a co-founder?
  • Can others learn from your journey?
  • The person behind the startup?
  • How do you make money?
  • Most profitable advice?
  • How would you spend $1 million?
  • Do you want to run a billion dollar company?
  • Which startup ecosystem (other than Silicon Valley) would you move to right now?
Why Are We Different & Why Interview VCs and Angel Investors?
  • After hosting "app launch parties" in Harlem, we learned the power of openness.
  • Within the diverse tech founders community, we leverage the one thing older than money: social capital.
  • Becoming an emerging manager is no easy feat. Neither is providing value to startups and returning value to LPs.
  • If you are looking to grow meaningful relationships, it's helpful to get some background on the people behind the $$$.
